Elastomeric sealing products DONIGUM offer a low cost solution for a wide range of applications in industry, where high temperature or pressure are not required.
Suitability for different application depends on type of elastomer.
ASTM Designation | Elastomer | Performance characteristics |
SBR | Styrene - butadiene rubber | Standard industrial rubber for general use in low pressure applications. Good mechanical properties, abrasion and tear |
NR | Natural rubber | Soft industrial rubber sheet with good mechanical properties such as resilience, tear and wear resistance. Often is used in blends with SBR. |
EPDM | Ethylene - propylene - diene rubber | Excellent resistance to ageing, heat and freeze, oxygen and ozone. Very good resistance to different chemicals including acids and alkalis. |
NBR | Nitrile rubber | Oil and fuel resistant rubber sheet with good physical properties. |
CR | Chloroprene rubber | High ozone and oxidation resistance, moderate resistance to lubricating oil, animal and vegetable oils. |
FKM | Fluorinated rubber | Excellent resistance to heat, oils, fuels and many chemicals. |
